Here we compile practical information, templates and guidelines:
Oral Presentation
Each paper is allocated 20 minutes in total. Authors should ensure that their presentation will not exceed 15 minutes, thereby allowing at least 5 minutes for Q&A and transition between speakers.
Presentations should preferably be uploaded to the PC (MS Windows OS) in the “speaker ready room” in advance. Please ask at the registration desk, if you can’t find the “speaker ready room”.
Alternatively, you can use your own laptop. A HDMI connection will be available in each lecture room; you must bring your own adaptor if your laptop does not have an HDMI port. It is recommended to test the presentation materials, e.g. video and audio, as well as your laptop in advance of the session to ensure compatibility. It is recommended that you store your presentation material on a USB stick as a backup, even if you plan to use your own laptop.
Presenters are requested to be present in the room at least 10 minutes before the start of their session to introduce themselves to the session chair.
Dialogue/Poster Presentation
Authors need to be situated with their posters during the entire allocated session at the allocated station and be available to discuss their paper with attendees.
They are arranged crosswise for 4 authors each. Each author has two walls at 90 degree angles. For each paper, 2 poster boards of dimensions 100 cm (width) x 250 cm (height) will be provided. Each author has two walls at 90 degree angles. This is suitable for a maximum of two A0 size posters in portrait orientation.
It is recommended, but not mandatory, that the ECCE Europe logo appears on the poster.
This is the link for the logo download.
Set Up of posters:
When: from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday)
Where: come to the registration desk.
Here you will get the information about the exact location of your poster and you will receive the permitted sticking material for your poster.
Please setup your poster at the appropriate location according to the poster ID before your session starts and remove it after your session ends.
Failing to present your poster may lead to marking no-show or absence of the author.
Poster printing
In case you find traveling with your poster troublesome you can find two copyshops within walking distance of the conference venue in Darmstadt:
Bring your poster on a USB flash drive / USB stick. You can pay directly in the copyshops. Sedruck also offers a webshop for sending your poster in advance (albeit in German only).
