ECPE is supporting the ´Sustainable Power Electronics Movement´ by ETH Zurich

initiated by Prof. Johann W. Kolar and Dr. Jonas Huber, ETH Zurich

Vision

All new power electronic converter systems, which are key enablers for the clean energy transition, are designed for and realized with minimum critical raw material usage, minimum end-of-life waste, and minimum environmental impacts over the entire life cycle.

Mission

The Sustainable Power Electronics Movement (SPEM) is an informal network of organizations and professionals from academia, industry, and government, which facilitates the exchange of information and ideas on sustainable and circular-economy-compatible power electronic converter systems and aims at identifying, mapping, completing, and disseminating the expertise and experience as well as establishing a knowledge base on sustainable technologies in power electronics.
